The truth she never told
Never First
A Memoir of Family, Love, Betrayal, and Becoming
When a woman spends her life feeling overlooked, she must return to the memories, heartbreaks, and hidden truths that taught her to put herself last.
Hi, I’m NataLee
And I write the truth I spent years learning how to say.
I did not write Never First to make life look perfect. I wrote it because there is freedom in telling the truth without dressing it up for anyone else’s comfort.
This book is my story of growing up, losing myself, loving deeply, hurting quietly, becoming a mother, building a life, watching parts of it break, and slowly understanding that being last in your own life is not love.
I am so grateful you are here.
Never First
A life remembered, a truth reclaimed
Never First is a personal journey through the moments that shape a woman before she has the language to understand them. It moves through childhood memories, family fractures, complicated mother-daughter love, dreams that were delayed, marriage, motherhood, betrayal, and the quiet strength it takes to finally look back and tell the whole truth.
This is not just a story about pain. It is a story about awakening. It is about the child who wanted to be seen, the woman who gave too much, and the voice that finally decided to speak.
